Derrick and Rheta were married on Sunday!
This Texas couple took Minnesota by storm for their memorial weekend wedding. In a flash of purple and sparkle, Rheta and her planners at Events by Harper-Davis, took months of long distance planning and made this day a reality. Woodbury Central Park gave the feeling of the outdoors which worked well with Rheta’s use of butterflies in the decor, which was designed by Flair Your Affair.
The day started at the hotel with Rheta and her ladies getting all made up by Angel Popowitz. Rheta had symbolism in every part of her getting ready routine, having key members of her family help her put on her jewelry and get into her gown.
Since they didn’t want to see each other before the wedding, but wanted to be able to connect before the day got too crazy, Derrick and Rheta held hands and exchanged notes on either side of a wall. Do we call this a “no look first sight”? I’m not sure, but it was definitely cute!
After the ceremony, the wedding party took some pictures inside and outside of the park.
Rheta and her security detail…
Inside, the ballroom was awash in purple. Guests enjoyed a slideshow created by the videographers, Sacred Light Studios, and a delicious meal from Donatelli’s Restaurant.
Then came the highlight of Rheta’s night, the DANCING! DJ Tek knew just what to play to get that bride shimmying and shaking all night! The guests had such a great time!
Derrick and Rheta, thank you so much for having us be a part of your day! Enjoy your sneak peek!
